The government’s failure to meet the deadline to deliver a Hillsborough Law was “very disappointing” according to the leader of Liverpool Council who called for the legislation to be introduced in full. On Tuesday, the city fell silent to mark the 36th anniversary of the disaster that claimed the lives of 97 Liverpool fans.
